Baby skin or as we call it soft silky skin, if you are on a hunt for soft skin even if you have tried millions of products, maybe it’s time to reconsider a new skincare routine or re-examine your environment and diet, after all where we live, work, sleep affects every single thing in our bodies including health, skin… If you are in a toxic stressful environment that would lead explicitly to dull rough-looking skin.
What are the causes of dull rough skin?
Rough skin is a buildup of dead skin cells and dryness, Dull skin is a buildup of bad emotions(stress, sadness, crying a lot, nervousness, and scariness…).
Rough/dull skin can be caused by many factors :
Environmental causes: pollution, climate changes from humid to dry, which leads to an unbalanced natural oil and water on the skin, for example on summer vacations …
“Our skin has a natural balance between natural oils and water and when these are out of balance, you can tell by your skin,” says Holmes.
Drinking and smoking :
Stressful/toxic environment.
Lack of sleep.
Ways to get soft Skin
Exfoliation: when I hear someone doesn’t exfoliate, OMG! Please exfoliate your skin 2 to 5 times a week, it gets rid of dead skin cells and dirt as well as bacteria and all the buildups accumulated on the surface of the skin, if you don’t exfoliate you will get that rough dull skin.
You can use the dry exfoliation method with a dry brush :
or You can use a mix of natural ingredients, like Coffee + coconut oil, I use this mixture always in my showers it makes the skin super soft and glossy or you can use honey + sugar+ coconut oil .
SPF: if you are not using an SPF, this is a sign for you to use it . A Sunscreen with SPF at least 30 helps to protect the skin from UVF and UVA, reduce the Signs of Aging, Limit the Appearance of Sunspots, protect the Skin from Sunburn, Reduce the Risk of Skin Cancer, and helps with avoid Broken Blood Vessels.
Water: Water keeps your body moisturized and rejuvenated, as well as maintaining the flexibility of your skin. People who drink a lot of water have fewer scars, wrinkles, and soft lines, and they don’t show as many signs of aging as those who don’t.
Moisturising: Moisturise Your Skin as Soon as You Get Out of the Shower, apply body butter to deeply nourish your skinny use the one from the body shop (the Japanese camellia body cream with the violet ribbon).
Keep your makeup brushes clean: Makeup brushes can carry bacteria that can travel from one part of your body to another, blocking pores and irritating skin. To avoid this, wash your brushes once a week with warm water and liquid soap. Allow them to dry completely before using.
Protect your skin from the cold: In colder weather, humidity levels tend to drop, resulting in less moisture in the air and drier skin. To make matters worse, artificial heat dehydrates the skin, even more, making it dry, itchy, and flaky.
- Showering less in the winter can help avoid dry skin.
- More hydration is required.
- Installing a humidifier in your house or business to restore moisture to the air.
Eat to keep your skin supple: Many nutritious foods contain elements and nutrients that will keep your skin supple and glowing. Consume a well-balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, as well as a reasonable amount of healthy fats. Foods having a high water content, such as kiwi, cantaloupe, apple, watermelon, celery, cucumber, and zucchini, are skin-friendly.
Vitamin C and zinc-rich foods aid in the formation of collagen and elastin. Dark leafy greens, nuts and seeds, beans, mushrooms, citrus fruits, and berries are among them.
Get some beauty rest: Collagen is a protein that maintains your skin smooth and wrinkle-free, and it’s made possible by growth hormones generated while you’re sleeping. Smooth and soft skin, therefore, necessitates a good night’s sleep.
Seek medical care: If you think you might have a skin problem, go to your doctor or dermatologist about diagnosis and treatment.
